Beaches

These beaches on and around the Hartland Peninsula form part of the dramatic Atlantic Heritage Coast of North Devon and North Cornwall.

There's something for everyone in and around the Hartland Peninsula area. You'll find a wonderful selection of beaches nearby, whether you're looking for golden sand, waterfalls, or secluded coves with rock pools. There's also an excellent choice of surfing beaches for both novice and experienced surfers.

Unlike Peppercombe, you can drive most of the way down a long and winding road through the valley to the visitor’s car park.

The path then takes you to the sea passed old limekilns to a pebbly beach with lovely rock pools. From the beach there are spectacular views of Bideford Bay and Lundy Island.
