Follow a Heritage or Treasure Trail

Download one of our four free Heritage Trails (in paper and/or audio) and explore 1200 years of history across the Peninsula.  These short but detailed walks will show you exactly what to look for and what it means.  Discover the hidden history and the lives of people who have lived here across the ages.

Or, especially good for families, download or buy a Treasure Trail pack from the Farm Shop, Pop In general store or Post Office (£5).  These Treasure Trails were Gold Award winners for Best Tourism Experience and Activity.  They are fantastic fun and a great value family day out.  This trail is a combination of driving (12 miles) and walking (2 miles) and is suitable for pushchairs but unfortunately not wheelchairs owing to the rugged terrain.  See if you can uncover where One Eyed Jack, the notorious Hartland smuggler, hid his booty just before he fell overboard and drowned!!
