Post Horn Gallop

Really enjoyed a slice of local drama yesterday evening in the shape of Post Horn Gallop, a farce by Derek Benfield.

Chester Dreadnought and his wife, Patricia, arrive at the ancestral home of her parents, the trigger-happy Lord, and the somewhat vague Lady Elrood, hoping for a quiet weekend. They find that Elrood Castle has been reluctantly opened up as a tourist attraction in the hope of paying the bills.

The most comic character has to be Ada, the maid, who is after anything in trousers, but all the cast turned in splendid performances, and the scenery/backdrop was also wonderfully done.
An entertaining evening with many comedic characters. Showing until Saturday 9th February and with tickets available from the Pop In, it is well worth seeing.
