Clive is also an author. His Assander Trilogy was inspired by a legend of a white hare that warns fishermen in the South West of storms at sea. Hares are the stuff of legend, and if you are lucky, you will see some on the Peninsula. They move fast!

The three stories chart the history of three generations, from the 19th century to the present day, of a white hare called Assander who finds himself shipwrecked on the Hartland Peninsula. Featuring landmarks and locations around Hartland these are great stories of magic humour and wisdom

2013 sees the publication of an illustrated guide to the walks and locations around Hartland featured in the books and giving walkers the chance to experience the landscape and scenery that inspired the stories. Discover new walks as well as the Coastal Path and see what inspiration you might feel! The guide contains details of dog friendly walks and local facilities.
