The Point at Hartland Point
Set above one of the most iconic coastline spots on this stretch of the Southwest coast path The Point@Hartland Point is a surprising and welcome find in this stunning location. Run by Amy and her team this extensive refreshment kiosk with outdoor seating is set amidst absolutely unparallelled scenery, flora and wildlife. Takeaway of their fantastic food is also available, plus delivery service of lunches, evening meals and buffets to groups staying in the area.
Open 10am - 5pm every day from Easter to October, delicious and very high quality lunches, teas, coffees, cakes, soups, shakes and much more are served to walkers from the path, cyclists from the lanes and those who've driven or walked down just to see and photograph this famous beauty spot.
Ideal for everyone of all ages - groups (as there's plenty of parking and good access), kids (who'll love the menu and the family-friendly quiz about the area with a prize for all children), dog walkers, hikers, ramblers, runners, cyclists, motorbikers (very scenic route), those sight seeing, photographers, painters, birdwatchers, plant lovers, horse riders - even helicopters! The list goes on. It's a unique cafe in a unique spot. There are no facilities though so you can, as Amy says, "Do what the animals do(!) or pop into Hartland before or after to use the facilities there."
Relax with freshly ground coffees, teas of all varieties, hot chocolates, smoothies and cold drinks. Sample the impossible-to-choose-from array of cream teas and homemade cakes or, for something more substantial opt for a ploughmans, fresh panini, or home-made soup. Of course there are ice creams and lollies too.
Also available to take-away, perfect for a delicious, completely hassle-free picnic for your day out and also as a last stop at the end of your holiday to pick up great food for the journey back and avoid pricey service station costs.
Amy's team also does delivery of their fantastic lunches, evening meals and buffets to groups staying in the area - ideal for walking groups, cycling groups, group celebrations or any gathering where you just want to get on with socialising without the hassle of the shopping, cooking and clearing up! Finally, Amy and her team run the cafe at the Farmer's Markets at the Parish Hall in Hartland. Join them for delicious fry ups, breakfast pastries and much more between 10am-1pm every first Sunday from March to December.
