No better time to see Docton Mill Gardens

Lana Borrett has given us this latest update for beautiful Docton Mill Gardens & Tea Room:

"June for me is the month of beautiful herbaceous borders. At Docton Mill our large perennial gardens overflow with many varieties of Campanula, Nepeta (catmint) and hardy geraniums, to name a few. These create a wonderful tapestry for roses. Old fashioned sweetly scented Felicia are coming to their full glory, which is late this year.

Poppy orientalis is a real show-stopper, magnificent in the orchards and the mill garden area. Primula japonica creates a dolly mixture effect in the bog gardens. There is no better time of the year to enjoy the garden.

In our tea room we are cooking North Devon reared beef for our salads and rolls and our Westcountry crab is of the finest quality. We pick our own organic salad leaves which are generously served.  And of course, our cream teas with home made, warm scones are delicious."

Entry to the tea room is free, for the gardens it’s £4.50 for adults, £4.25 for OAPs and U18s are free. Well behaved dogs welcome.  See www.doctonmill.co.uk or call  01237 441369
