Hartland’s newest Bed & Breakfast has opened for business.
Clouds B&B is located at Stoke, just above Hartland Quay, very close to the South West Coast Path and just a stone’s throw from St Nectan’s Church.
Owner’s Claire and Paul Summers wanted to make an extra special space for people to enjoy this beautiful part of the world. Their spacious, luxurious home offers a choice of accommodation for double or twin use: an opulent super king suite with cast iron, double-ended slipper bath, and a detached studio with wood burner, kitchenette and bathroom.
The Fuchsia Suite, with garden, rural and Stoke Church views, has dark oak wood flooring and rugs. There is a large fitted wardrobe, quiet concealed fridge and antique furniture comprising of comfortable chairs and a side table. The super king bed (which can be split into two full singles) faces the 40 inch wall mounted digital TV. The Victorian themed bathroom has a 6 ft cast iron double ended slipper bath, large walk in drench shower, towel rail and mood lighting.
The Camellia Studio overlooks the garden to South and West, with rural views to the North. The fully glazed South facing front door with windows either side opens into the kitchenette area with a two ring ceramic hob, fridge, breakfast bar, and microwave oven. A two seated sofa faces the wood burner and large wall mounted 40 inch digital TV. The bedroom suite is solid oak, with a super king sized double bed (which can also be split into two full singles). The fully tiled bathroom has a double ended inset bath, large walk in drench shower, towel rail and mood lighting.
Breakfast is served in the sunny dining room, or on the patio. For Studio guests, breakfast can be taken there, or alternatively a hamper left. A wide choice of cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit, followed by Aga cooked full English; scrambled, poached or fried eggs, smoked salmon or kippers. A lighter continental breakfast is also available. Local free range eggs and produce are used along with homemade bread and preserves. Fresh fruit juice, coffee and a selection of teas as required. Other dietary needs can be catered for, just ask.
Facilities also include: off road secure parking, central heating, free Wi-Fi, hospitality tray, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and luxury toiletries. Comfortable beds have Egyptian cotton sheets, feather duvets, throws and cushions. Fluffy towels and bath robes are also provided. Iron and Ironing board on request.
Baggage Transfer and packed lunches are available. And for those special occasions they offer a champagne picnic lunch to take to the beach or the cliff top (the sunsets are amazing). Flowers, chocolates and chilled champagne can be arranged on arrival for that romantic break. They regret children under the age of 14 years cannot be catered for. Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation and sadly no pets are allowed.
