Cheristow Lavender Campsite
Camping and Caravanning Certificated Site at Cheristow Lavender is set just 25 mins walk from the South West Coastpath, in the beautiful, rolling Hartland countryside and wholly within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheristow Lavender is a unique family run business and attraction offering the lavender farm, gardens, tea room, gift shop and camp site.
Stay on our adults only campsite, with stunning views over the countryside towards the sea. We have hardstandings, electric hookups, toilets showers, a washing machine and communal freezer. We price very reasonably per person and do not charge extra for awning etc or pet (max 2 dogs per pitch), though we ask you not to abuse this. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement.
The campsite is open Easter to September. In addition, between March and October we also have our:
- award winning tea room (2012 Tea Guild Award of Excellence) where we serve delicious cream teas, cakes and savoury scones (no lunches during 2017), much of it grown at our own farm, including beef from our own herd of Devon Ruby cattle. We also cater for gluten-free and other special diets with a little notice.
- beautiful flower gardens, including our wildlife garden specially planted to produce food for our own bees, the rose garden, a further garden planted with selected trees and flowers and of course the rows and rows of lavender
See our attraction entry for full details of the above facilities.
Points to note:
We live in rural Devon, and although we have coaches visiting, some of the roads are narrow. We are also 3 miles to the nearest village by car, or 40 minutes walk on the public footpath across the fields.
The Camping and Caravanning code of conduct must be followed at all times, and we ask you to also respect the countryside code of conduct especially with regard to your pets as this is a working farm. Also for this reason children are not allowed.
